COMPETITION IS REQUIRED

yo, this is my man $ykotic Don McCaine. this dude has real fly perspectives and i fucks with his point of view. yall know i fux wit thorobreds, and this is one of 'em. peep...

FLASHBACK INTO TIME...

I always laugh when Ra starts the first line. “Competition is none…” And at that time in Hip Hop history, there was no competition for him. He was on a hot streak. Writing classics like “My Melody”, “Eric B For President” & “Move The Crowd”(“The Rhyme Flows On” is my favorite) seemed habitual for this guy Rakim. The duo of Eric B & Rakim took off with the “Paid In Full” single AND album, and to follow it up with the “Follow The Leader” project was sheer madness.

During this time in Hip Hop we were being treated to classic battles from KRS-One vs. MC Shan, Kool Moe Dee vs. LL Cool J, and MC Lyte vs. Antoinette. Although these battles were not considered as “beef” between said artists, these were heated competitions. Darts were flying. Back then in Hip Hop there was a consensus that thou shalt not bite (consider this a foretelling of the next blog), and you better be ready to battle when approached, tested, or called out. Be yourself, and be ready to defend yourself emcee. Prepare for competition. This actually can be said about ANY industry. If you want market share ($) you have to compete with a viable product.

Imagine being Coca-Cola with every other beverage company biting your style (flavor, can color, beverage color). What do you do to separate yourself from the leeches? Kill them (corporate takeover, lawsuits) or out do them. What ever they come with, do the opposite. Even though Coca-Cola knows Pepsi will always be there I can bet they saw 7-Up as a threat because Coke created Sprite to compete with the upstart “colorless cola”(I was always intrigued as to how these “sodas” were actually pharmaceutical elixirs). Why would they let a youngin’ upstage them? Create the product to compete for market share (Coke actually still cock-blocks 7-Up today by making it’s distributors buy plenty of Sprite to suffocate the 7-Up brand). Think of Atari, Intellivision, and then ColecoVision.

Record labels create this competition all the time. For your Jungle Brothers you had your EpMd. For your Nikki D you had your Heather B. For your Sam Cooke you had your Marvin Gaye. For your JJ Fad you had your B.W.A. For your Earth, Wind, and Fire you had your Brass Construction. For your Barry White you had your Cerrone. Digable Planets and The Fugees.

Today, due to the over-saturation of consumer goods on the market, the competition is realistically left for the ADVERTISING AGENCIES to emphasize. Create a viral campaign to “shock and awe” the consumer into believing in the product sold (didn’t the American government exercise this same tactic? Wow…). Back then they would shock people with a new product and have them in awe of its relative efficiency, now it’s more of the ad content that provides the shock and awe, and less of the product itself. Verizon Wireless has AT & T heated right now, but there’s nothing that can be done until a judge says to pull those map commercials. Until then AT & T stands to lose customers to it’s competitor. They should have been ready to battle. And real talk, Verizon IS A T & T (Ma Bell break-up). WWE tactics, anyone?

In mainstream rap 2009, the ad agencies they use are websites, twitter accounts, and bloggers to promote competition. Unfortunately the competition now consists of either felony record comparing or runway model imagery, instead of combating skill levels and music. Joe “Cuffin” Budden and Saigon had a real rap battle, but no specific ad agency tallying the votes on the ‘net for realistic results. Jeezy tried to bait Gucci Mane to battle, Beans is trying to bait Jay-Z. Ross and 50 had one of those rap battles that will be recorded in the archives of Hip Hop history. The tactics and antics done during that skirmish will be scrutinized for scores to come. Jay-Z has pretty much stated that his wallet is too heavy to battle (Ether-phobia). Gucci, who is a curveball away from strike three, will have some time to reassess how he will compete once he is free again. And the freshman, Drake, has said he will not compete, even though he demands top shelf space with all of the other proven brand competitors. I would say Drake, if you don’t wanna compete with Coca-Cola or Pepsi, you still have to compete with Shasta, Dr. Pepper, even Mr. Pibbs for shelf space. They already have the market share you desire. But be warned if you prove to be as good as Coke and Pepsi, don’t expect Coke and Pepsi to not compete with you for YOUR market share because YOU won’t compete. They have brutal ad agencies on retainer specifically for competition.

WWE “beef” may be frowned upon, but competition is embedded within the musical history of Hip Hop. It has to continue. If Coke doesn’t have Pepsi around, there’s no crown to claim best cola and we would all eventually OD of boredom with just one version of soda. Here’s a bonus round:

Competition is required.

Kibblez and bitz: Shouldn’t Rhianna’s album selling for 99 cents this weekend be considered a bigger flop than 50?

Didn’t Kanye in his “808’s” mode remind you of Toni Basil?

GRAND STANDING

GOTCHA boy!

if you spar wit me on the reg, u know i keep mentionin this dude named Tony Grands. he's a fellow bloger and thorobred. we converse regularly and i see him all thru my daily trips in the electronic kingdom. im sure you do too. he always drop the insight. and look what else this dude done dropped.

i didnt know he had skills. i just knew he had some fly shit wit him on the keyboard. guess that means the music keyboard too! and since i didnt know, it was like, Ok, my nigga! this shit is pretty fly. sounds like he put some thought into it, which is what a lot of artists fail to do nowadays. check it out for that reason alone. i dug it, (my shit is Grandzilla) it reminds me a lot of whats goin on out in the West Coast these days. not like he on somebody else's style, it's like this new movement goin on out West where the sound is being redefinied. thats what i mean. he's a branch on that tree. and he tells me he was on this style a WHILE back. guess my nigga was ahead of his time. cause this shit is the poppin shit NOW.

check him out. and take a page from his book...

...and leave a comment.

BEANS N BEEF...

this shit is fly! not because im on any side of the coin. i dont know them dudes to be commentin on they business. but as the leader of my crew, i try my best to make sure we all eat. but i try to make sure we all do our best work, whatever level we may be at. now, my wolves are NOT consulted on an everyday basis. and when i do go see 'em, i bring them meat.

so this video is not meant to support either side of the coin. i can say in my own experience that i never let wolves starve. for food or for attention. cause hunger will ALWAYS redefine ur morals. and ur loyalty.

its just funny. thats all...

YESTERDAY

i put up the video player highlightin what i think is some interesting music happenin across the country. in it you can see that the seed for creativity and forward motion are being sown. the thing that fucks me up, is that it seems that, in all disciplines, it seems that the dudes from back in the day where more complex in their execution. not meaning confusing, or not accessible, it just had the feelin of being more polished and more authentic. in other words, more style. and they each had a style of their own. dudes nowadays have A style. they all share it.

thats why i had to put this on the page. hopefully, this will spark good conversation and bring back some nastalgic memories from days gone by. and for those of you who were not around for any of it, then get a good look at what it used to look like so that u can make better decisions about your contributions. it's on you now. how well you do it will determine your success at it. cause nowadays this shit is boring. and if you cant keep interest, how do you hope to sell anything to anyone? thats why nobody can sell records these days. i mean think about it, no matter how good a cat is, say like Fabulous, who got ill punch lines, his album was enough for me to digest with one listen. i aint buyin that! whats gonna make it a journey again later if it feel complete? a lot of the songs played on this channel are from an age when you had to listen to the album 3 or 4 times to get a full picture. some just took you somewhere else. nowadays, these songs take you all to the same place... the club.

i got it from Just Blaze, so it's official. and even the joints that wasn't hits are worth checkin out for the historical context. because for all its worth, there is no us without them. all of them.

THE WAVE

if u fuck wit me on the regular, then u know i champion the independent way all day. i ran back across my peoples at Hip Hop Howl. i think the name sucks, but the channel is crazy. i mean, i'm not tryin to say its all good. some things are better than others of course. but it's at least interesting to see what people are doing all across the country. and even tho their budgets are not as big as these commercial dudes, the videos are a lot more creative and more interesting. it's definitely a welcome break from the bullshit that swells MTV and BET on the regular. i mean, u know loves me some T and A, but all songs dont call for it. and if it does, is there any way possible to do it different? i aint mad at the way nobody expresses themselves through music. i catch a feeling bout the laziness associated with people seeing their vision finished. and it's evident it's lazy. its exactly what the last guy did. so what effort could you have possibly put in to it?

so on that note, enjoy. and critique. and disagree. thats what this shit is about. and dont worry, we workin hard behind the scenes. we got a lot of content ready to launch soon. be on the look out. we movin. move wit us.

THE BOTTOM LINE

whats good? man, my writing thing has a taken a hit considerin all the real life drama movin at a a faster rate around me. drama with the baby mother and as a result, i have my daughter now. and thats a blessing. but there's a lot of restructuring that i wasnt ready for. then there's the studio... don't let me start with the shit with the zoning board.. cause if they read my blog (the url is on my outgoing emails), i dont wanna piss nobody off!

makes me wish i had another me, justs sittin around, ready to take direction, full of the same vision and character that i embody. but then again, i'd rather have another person who was NOT me. someone who could fill in the blanks, who was as resourceful and took the positions that would juxtapose against my weaknesses. it'd be great to have another person share your vision and move out on it. not like i wanna son somebody. but if you don't have a plan and i do, then why not ride out on mine? i know me. i'd move out for the induividual that i considered quaified. see, i consider myself a good general. but every good general started off as a great soldier. therefore, i dont have a problem takin orders.

it just seems that if a person notices progress or refinement in another individual, they develop that unhealthy sense of competition. especially when girls come around. then theres that person who actually wants to insist that what you're doing to accomplish YOUR vision is wrong. and Jah no, if u are younger than the other person, FORGET IT. they feel as tho that the years they spent on the earth is qualification enough. and it's usually the rational they use for tryin to tell u stuff to make u second guess yourself. but where are your real qualifications, dude? i mean, what have you DONE? don't tell me what you've HEARD. at this point, the only thing you can tell me is what NOT to do. straight up.

so when u start to earn enough to pay people and those people are close to you, then we have a different dynamic at play. cause now that person thinks that the personal friendship weighs into the professional one. me, i'll fire my brother. but it never ceases to amaze me how folks tend to think that everything thats wrong with their life at the moment should find it's resolution with YOU. as if their inability to deliver aint why we havin the discussion in the first place. and why they last boss fired 'em and why you thought you'd help 'em out. i'm just sick of the crybaby shit.

so, then is the iron fist the way to administrate? how does an enterprising individual build his/her enterprise?

that's it. thought i had some witty ending like ususal? i'm stuck! i know i'm gonna have to make a decision soon. i'll holla at yall about it then...

SEE WHAT I'M SAYIN?

i like the way its goin down. all around me, i see dudes (and females) gettin up on some i'mma get it myself shit. clothes, promotion, media and music. they tryin to compete with the big boys, and a lot of them have the ideas that will make them competitive. sometimes, they just drop the ball on execution.

as an audio engineer, i can't begin to tell you how many times people get this whole notion fucked up in regards to their music. they think that talent is enuff. i mean, it does count for a big portion of the equation. but there is an already established standard as to what constitutes "professional" in every discipline. therefore, if a person is gonna call theyselves goin for it, they should try to aim as close to that standard as possible. like i don't see how somebody could think they was gonna start a magazine and aim at takin down XXL, and their magazine is some stapled color copies. i mean, they could have the most talented writers in the world. some amazing photos. excellent and informed editorials. but i dont see nobody takin a chance on spendin some real money on advertising. because the format suggests that the people puttin the magazine together don't fully realize what it takes to put a magazine together. you see where i'm goin' with this?

a lot of rappers think they can put out stuff and it not be mixed and mastered. that would've been true back when Too Short was makin his tapes in Oakland. the standard for the sound in rap music wasn't fully established. "South Bronx" by KRS One was originally done on a 4 trak recorder, and was played on the radio just like it was. thats why when you play it today, it almost has no bass in it. because it wasn't MASTERED. but with A Tribe Called Quest's "Low End Theory", a whole new level for the sound of the records had been reached. consistent, polished, levelled, present, resonant, and balanced. the next major turn was later in the same year, with "The Chronic" by Dre. Dre, which is even more impressive because he is also co-mixed the project. and since then, rap music has never been the same. even though records by RunDMC, LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys ushered in the big label sound into hip hop, they didn't serve as the turning point in the overall application in the sound of the recordings. there were actually "worse" (and i mean that in the level of quality) sounding records after that that were still hit records in hip hop. as an ardent fan of Marley Marl production and production techniques, i am amazed that while listening to those records these days with much better informed ears, how much distortion is in a lot of the classic Juice Crew records, especially in the vocals. with the advent of these two records and probably even more so "The Chronic", most labels made it a point to aim higher. even the seminal productions of DJ Premiere at D&D Studios (along with "Enter The 36 Chambers" by Wu Tang Clan) were regarded as a style of mixing, or more widely accepted as the sound of "real hip hop", the gritty hard core sound that characterized a break away from the more audiophile offering of the Death Row catalog. even Bad Boy records followed suit with well produced, mixed and mastered records that set them apart from the typical offerings of the day. and since then, with the rise of digital format recording, the sound has been pushed even further in it's sonic character and clarity. the standard has been set. anyone wishing to compete has to come correct. even a listen to DJ Premiere's work will show a gradual improvement in sonic clarity and definition, even while recording at D&D.

so now with digital audio workstations in everyone's home, the dividing line that existed between that superior professional sound and the home demo has been blurred, if not completely erased. or has it? the difference still lies in the attention to detail. how well are your recordings captured? how good are the sounds you use? there still is no replacement for a good microphone, and mic modelers are just really eq settings. and most people need to realize these things. because no matter how much more accessible quality recording equipment has become, the laws of physics involving sound ARE STILL THE SAME. no matter what version of Pro Tools, Cue Base, Nuendo, or Logic you have, you will not get professional audio if you dont know how to manipulate sound. in other words, if you don't KNOW what the fuck ur doin, you gonna fuck shit up. and thats as strait up as i can put it.

mastering is a whole 'nother thing. cause your record will not come together, or have that polish if it isn't mastered. this is what makes your recordings sound like records. you can't skip it for budget reasons; put it in the budget! i have a client that used my service for his first record. he sold pretty good in the streets and figured that he could bypass mixing and mastering with his second effort because people were already down with him. he started to hear people say, "it doeasn't sound the same", or "it don't sound like a record", or worse yet, "nice mixtape". people can't get all geeky like i can explaining why it doesn't sound the same. but they know it when they hear it. and if THEY can hear it, what makes you think that the music PROFESSIONALS who do this for a living, and who you're trying to get a DEAL from, are gonna think when they hear it? and with the playing field so broad now a days, you're gonna need every advantage you can get. that is, if you're serious about what you're doing. if it's just a hobby, then don't worry. it will sound like it.

the legendary engineer Tommy Dowd once told a story of bringing Ray Charles into a modern recording facility. the engineer there was eager to explain all that the studio offered. so he went on about all the trax at their disposal, the outboard gear names and models, how it was the newest thing out and all that. Ray Charles stopped him in the middle of all his gear spittin and asked one question; "Yeah, but how does it SOUND, baby!?!"

now, in the words of Gangstarr, ask yourself the same question.

WHAT IT LOOK LIKE...

all week over at XXLmag.com, there was guest blogger named Shakur. She was the chick from the Drake video, "The Best I Ever Had" ("All you ever taught us was how to stretch!"). she was a total bomb all week, insulting the commenters, who didnt want to hear shallow media friendly stories and weak and feeble attempts to sound like she is an active participant in the culture, while calling it a "commodity" as well as a "branding" tool. poor girl. like so many others. misguided and undecided. and that goes for you dudes as well.

i was initially gonna get in her ass. but i figured i layed into her pretty good over there. cause in my house, if i lay into her ass, it got to be literally.

i mean it's just like so many things we deal wit in life. men aren't good fathers because they haven't experienced one. women aren't good partners because they've grown up watching their mother's go at it alone. kids in the hood choose crime because they don't see the successful lawyers in Benzes. they move away. they see drug dealer in Benzes, and that's what success look like. same thing with this rap shit. i'm not even gonna go into HIP HOP. cause that's more than this rap shit. and more than most of yall give a shit about.

i came across this video and had to post it so that it can be a reminder to those that don't know what it feels to be appreciated for your SKILL. not your chart placement or your guest appearances, but just for how good you are. look at how these dudes have appreciation for each other, even tho their approach is different. cause it's supposed to be. and for those haven't seen it and to those that remember it, this is hip hop...

NO PUN INTENDED

i don't get it. i don't understand women sometimes.

naw, let me swallow that. i think i understand them pretty good. i guess i'm constantly amazed at the shit that they do. like the videos circulating of Pun's wife Liza speakin on her current condition. it seems she's homeless and has taken to blaming Fat Joe for her misfortunes. he ONLY gave her $120,000. for most people, thats like 4 or 5 years pay at around $20/22,000 a year. thats ALL she got.

i don’t know how much i gotta get on here and say that these chicks need some guidance in their lives! i swear. because a properly coached female in a CLEARLY advantageous position is capital all day. in other words, if she was under the proper guidance,
a phone call to Joe
to explain the situation
to suggest a solution in the form of
a) a mixtape
b) a reissue of Capital Punishment or
c) a remix album with the cats that used to fuck wit Pun from producers to rappers, to be sold,
DURING THE PUERTO RICAN DAY PARADE
that says on it “to support Big Pun and his widow and his children”
would’ve been a SOLUTION. instead she’s chosen, and Latinos forgive me if i type it wrong, BONCHINCHE. thats gossip, slander, like in a slimy way. and at the one sureshot solution she got to her current dilemma.

i sure hope she ain’t thinkin “book”. cause abuse and abandonment are played out. Oprah don’t even book that shit no more. and as much as i love Pun, his impact is not that far reaching to secure big numbers. WE love him. but i don’t think the abused and abandoned bitch in Des Moines is gonna give a fuck. so what a Latino man beat his wife? they were raised to think they wasn’t shit from first of all.

what kills me is the seemingly universal concept that women have of going against the grain. and then expecting men to respect how they make decisions. (?) cause anybody that attacks their ally in the face of battle that they’re losing is a FOOL. i mean no disrespect to Pun’s widow. this is somethin i see a LOT of women do. and a lot will STILL have the nerve to ask you for help AFTER THEY ARE FINISHED ATTACKING YOU. as if nothing happened. it’s in those times is when i thank my dad for the genetic material he passed on that enables me to grab a good portion of myself whereas to demonstrate what can be done with a mouth like that.

death is always a sad issue. i’ve been to 56 funerals in my life between Philly and New York. one thing that i know, and i don’t mean to sound callous, but if you gonna get some money outta niggas for the family of the deceased, do it fast. cause niggas WILL forget. and as the grief fades away like daylight when the night comes, folks tend to get back to what matters to THEM. and Pun matters to people. so her solution is to SPOIL that memory in the minds of people? and then expect to collect on that legacy? i don’t see where you can say you really thought that out.

i wrote an entry on this site called “Who’s The Mack?” detailing my theory of where this mindstate originates in women. cause any woman that catch an ass whoopin wit a gun butt and wake up in the same house with that nigga the next day has ACCEPTED that treatment in her life. stop making men the root of all yall problems because that ONE man, your daddy, didnt perform HIS duty. and perform yours.

cause the kids are blameless. and they gotta eat. whether it be poyo, or pizza in the middle of little Italy…

UPDATE Aug 6: Joe feels the same way

CUT THAT OUT...

i really get sick of you niggas. especially when it comes time for you to get feedback from your work. it's amazing to me that you niggas want accolades with no criticsm. honestly, the greats are made great by what they overcome. not by what they over compensate for.

this term HATIN'. this shit fucks me up. or at least the way it's used sometimes. because the minute somebody tell u that ur ridin the wrong way up the block, yall'll tell 'em they jealous cause you got a car.

it makes me think back to the days when it was common place that dudes was called toys in graffiti and was called wack rappers or breakdancers. or u got called a biter if u didn't come at it in your own way. it was a sin to copy, or if u did something that was in an existing style, you had to add on to it. that type of scrutiny kept muthafuckas on they toes and on they game. and what was honorable about it was that muthafuckas would accept it. not sayin that a muthafucka would choose stagnant as a position (Bow Wow?), but would rather work his ass off to get that title off of him. in order to change a problem, u first got to acknowledge that it exists.

nowadays, its a whole 'nother thing. these dudes is sensitive. you tell em that they need more work, or that you simply don't like they stuff and you would swear you cussed they mother. they get real emotional, want to fight and call you a hater cause they are plain and simply not that good. i remember back when the Source was the shit and that whole anti-journalist sentiment sprung up. i mean rappers was ready to set it on people for their opinion. "they tryin' to take food off my kids table!" was the more famous mantra by those of this sort, when it was the futherest thing from the truth. they may be stoppin u from doin what you WANT, but there is always other ways to feed the children. i mean if u serious about being a daddy. but if you serious about your career, then you're just gonna have to get better, strait up. that is, if u don't wanna throw jabs at the next man's clock. make a choice.

editorial in music is what used to drive the standard. most folks don't realize that Billboard position was once determined by the general consensus of the critics. that was what decided the number one position. so for RunDMC to chart #3 on the Billboard is a real feat considering it was judged by people who weren't close to the culture. good weed will get you high, no matter who smokes it, yah'meen? it's easier to understand why The Beasties hit #1 being as tho' they had an approach that was easier to understand to the writers of Billboard; they used snippets of Led Zeppelin and used thrashin guitar solos. but make no mistake, when held to a standard of responsibility in regards to the culture, they passed with flying colors. no one has ever compared them to a Vanilla Ice. that just seems absurd. so with the introduction of the Source, there was a center point for the type of editorial that was needed to explain and introduce different aspects of the culture. it was an integral part of the expansion of hip hop for sure. but it also served as a reminder that excellent work will be rewarded. it used to be a coveted prize to get the hip hop quotable and a career sealer to get a 5 mic rating. i mean, the mic rating system would help drive sales! these coveted prizes were the reward of responsible editorial. and we barely disagreed.

now, it's all fucked up. even the last man standing, XXL, seems compromised. or scared. the new editor fielded comments from the regulars on the site, and she openly admitted that Slaughterhouse wouldn't get the cover in deference to Jeezy. not to slight Jeezy, he does what he do, but i thought the whole thing was about covering the HOT story. the commenters wanted Slaughterhouse, because they felt they deserved it. the editor wanted Jeezy, insisting he'll do numbers, even tho' she agreed that Slaughterhouse DESERVED it. another example of the responsibility of the editoratti, if u will, or the irresponsibility conversely, to the culture that gave it the platform to exist in the first place! talk about some ungrateful shit.

now a days, what gets artists validated is the pure collective opinion of the blogosphere. we gave Drake his career. but in truth, Drake gave us somethin to fuck with. others on the rise will also benefit from the new found power of the editorial blogger, who at no time bites his/her tongue. that why things are trending toward more developed concepts and increased innovation in material and subject matter. watch what i tell you, this shit is gettin ready to pop off. and it's at the hands of people who are demanding that others content has to have content in order to be content with including it amongst other content on their site. (i know, i b havin fun sometimes...) bloggers know that the people who fuck with them do so because they AGREE with them. it's that sense of integrity that keeps us going. thats that real shit, sun.

and it's not without reward. do you think i'd be doin this if i couldn't get no loose leaf? sheeeet! but i live by thorobred rules. even if it's wrong, i do wrong right. money is a by product of doing things well. no matter how you do it. drug dealers get rich from GOOD product, not from tellin you it's hot. so i see nahright.com holding events with big name rap artists, and even my man Dallas Penn makin more of an effort to generate more original content. this will all get niggas MONEY. but because muhfuckas fux wit dem. not because someone told them they should.

i included this cartoon cause it made me think about a lot of the material that comes through my studio. it seems any bum off the street is a producer or rapper. i act as the editor to a lot of their shit, to, at the very least show them what good audio is supposed to sound like. so i increase my business because people know Culture will give you a quality mix/master. so i make more money by making sure the quality is there and not just giving people any ol' thing. but keep it up, rap magazine editor, and that will be YOU with the cardboard box speakin to bloggers like my man Tony Grand$ behind the editor's desk. my, how the table's have turned. and then, when it's too late, you'll really understand... that a house divided against itself, can not stand. 'specially if it's made of cardboard.

just ask Dave Mays...

WHO'S THE MACK?

Mickey Mouse is evil. now before you think i'm on some bugged out shit, peep. cause what i'm talkin about ain't got nothin to do with Mickey runnin around eatin people and knockin down buildings. matter of fact, let me put it different; Mickey Mouse is a pimp.

i mean, think about it. he has a bottom bitch. Minnie. but you rarely see her. she be off doin special shit. all his other hoes get his money; Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella. he got a jawn into kinky stuff, Beauty they call her, that will even sleep with a Beast, and a real piece of fish named The Little Mermaid. but as we all know, a pimp is only good as his action at a bitch. in other words, he got to constantly be at new prospects for the game in order to maintain in it. and Mickey is constantly spittin game at your daughter and mine.

a lot of these chicks have so much trouble with their adult relationships because of the game Mickey put on "em when they was little. got 'em all thinkin that there will be a day when some Prince will swoop in to save 'em and take care of them, and all they have to do is wait. the Prince already got his AND he is willing to share it ALL. the qualifications for the job is that all the woman has to do is be beautiful. thats it. see, Mickey done sold 'em a dream. and so many of these chicks buy into that shit that they don't realize that it's all "g" until they start to realize what it's really hittin for. and it ain't that swept away on a white stallion shit. best they gone get is a ride to the mote in a white Mustang. there you you go, bitch, horse on the grill and mad horses under the hood.

ain't no dude gonna save you, hun. and the real shit is, what do you need saving from? your own laziness? why don't you wanna work at nothin? then they get mad and jealous at white women, because they look at them and they got it all. but white women put in that extra effort to support they men during they rise to the top. black girls, spanish girls? they criticize you on aything or either complain that your focus on your goals leaves them lonely and thinkin about seekin attention elsewhere. but when you have no focus, they want a man that does!? and then they always say that white men grow up with a deep and healthy respect for white women. in other words, they'll marry 'em quick. ('cept the white baws in Kensington. they on the same shit we are.) and chicks always say, "look at how yall treat us, callin us bitches and hoes". bitch please. see, i use the word bitch on this site frequently because i feel like, to every last one of my females that fuck wit me on this site, that i'm ur nigga, right? like, "Culture, that's my nigga!" so if i'm your nigga, you can definitely be my bitch. right? but niggas in rap music speak for a lot of us when they tell yall what they VALUE. somebody that will stick by a man thru the rough times as well as the good. shit, i dont want nobody that just wanna fuck with me cause i'm up. then u attracted to the shit around me and not to ME. ya unnastand? you don't value ME. and i dont care how many songs dudes sing that praises the women that ride and that have already, then tell u over n over that thats the real shit to a nigga, yall wanna hear what Mickey put in you from way back. so niggas started tellin' you that "you can have whatever you like", and even tho they roll wit a crew called the PIMP Sqaud Click, yall'll still love that nigga to def for lyin to you. just like MIckey. and most of yall'll still have those movies sittin around your 20, 30 somethin year old life somewhere. yall know i ain't lyin. yall wanna wait till somebody show up that got it all together and expect him to find value in YOU? how often has that fairy tale shit happened to an ugly woman? so if it only happens to pretty women, then that man only values your LOOKS. that man is still collecting THINGS for his "kingdom" and u just happen to be a suitable piece of the puzzle. the prince needs a beautiful SHOWPIECE, doesn't he? someone to make HIM look good when HE goes out. then that same dude more than likely is the type that will have other women, because, he's a PRINCE gotdammit. he deserves to have concubines and wenches. and of course he deserves to beat the shit outta you for questioning his authority on these and other matters. he threatens to take it all away if you don't comply wih his wishes. and when ur best homegirl (who is usually ugly and/or fat and leans on you for worth like you do to him) tries to encourage you to leave (cause she usually is real as shit. she has to be. she is not qualified for the fairy tale), you won't go because he makes you feel SECURE. (?) congratulations. you made it.

i mean, i ain't mad at Pimpin Mickey. he gone mash for his rations, and i cain't do nothin but accept it. well, i can actually. i get my daughter away from that game whenever i can. it's tuff cause her mother is turned out on Pimpin' Mickey. she mash for him hard. but thats MY job. she's under MY protection. and i always tell her that she's capable of anything before Mickey starts to tell her she's only qualified for one thing, ya unnastand me? so i ain't gonna hate on Mickey and how he run his, so he damn sure cain't hate on how i run mine, ya dig? cause at all costs, my daughter will always know the difference between a man... and a mouse.

now air it out...

THE GUSHIE!!!!

now a couple of folks (and why yall send me emails instead of leavin comments?) really like how i get down with The Gushie. they say my taste is superb ('cept for homie hatin on Angel Love. but i think he just wanted it known that he seen her up close). my selection comes from a life full of really hot females. well, not always. u know how that Coqui 900 had a nigga! regrets aside, i been pretty good to my dick and it's never let me down (aside from that one time... but i guess it was mad from one of those Coqui 900 nights. paybacks a bitch, or a lack thereof...).

now this is Rosa Acosta and she is the previously cited bad bitch from the Drake video "Best I Ever Had". and she is special. even with the makeup off. and thats when u know a chick is fever. and also when u can see how much u really got to do to get wit it. cuz make up on a good night out can be the extent of how fly she really is. i found that out a couple times. watched them exhaust the couple of good outfits that made them feel ultra. i mean they wittled right down to regular. thats when they start hollerin bout u gettin 'em some clothes cuz they see u treatin 'em different. some of yall ain't gone feel me. this is fly nigga shit. and too much game for free.

but i want to highlight her hustle. cuz from what i understand she hustled her way into a video on the internet, just like Drake. doin videos like these, bloggin, model sites. u know, HUSTLIN'. now u got to admire that. i mean, i wanna see us all get this money. and i ain't hatin on no chick gettin them franklins. shit like that makes them feel better bout themselves. they more likely to have sex then. AGAIN, too much G... i MUST like yall... this that hustle hard for the Drake cake Gushie...

now this stunner is named Eurithmia. and she is all out gorgeous. and she from my part of town. this is what i tell dudes all the time. they don't appreciate whats right under they noses until somebody comes along and see the star quality in 'em, just like somebody did with Rosa.

what makes her so ill for me is her size. cause she so curvy but so small. now i'm a big dude and i cant b fuckin no chicks fat as me. thats like two balloons rubbin. thats an annoyin sound, right? so i like em like this. where we can fit. and it's been my experience that these types love them a big man. and i am. i'm West Indian, ya dig? Dexter St. Jock like a muhfucka... thats right, i said it, i meant it, and i can represent it...

its wild cause both of these ladies are Latina. shit, i dont care. brown is my color. fuck the nationality (no pun intended). i love brown women. what makes Eurithmia extra special is... she'll be visiting my studio as soon as the new spot is finished being built. now, i ain't tryin to insinuate nothin. a lot of people'll be attending the parties i'm gonna throw there. they show for the ones i have now. so what i'm sayin is, is that this is ACCESSIBLE. what ur life like?

this that small waist, gorgeous face my part of town Gushie...

(plus pretty girls are fun as hell, yo...)

THE YOU MAKE ME BLUEPRINT

DALLAS PENN keeps me writing... this in response to an excellent post of his called "Master Plan>>>Blueprint" XXLmag.com.

excellent post my man. VERY well done. i enjoyed this joint a lot. and learned a couple things too.

but let me tell it from a different perspective…

i received knowledge of self in 1996. i never chose the Nation when it was popular because i never wanted it to seem like i was just a part of a fad (i was in NY when “All For One” dropped). plus, anything, for me to commit to it, has got to resound with truth and clarity to my understanding. i dont fuck with gray areas. how can anyone and call it a solid commitment?

1996 is when i started my stay at an institution of higher learning. it wasn’t Penn State… it was the state penn. and all during that time, me, Teardrop (he EARNED his… not just a tatoo) from the Bronx, K-Real from Ft. Green, Sincere from Queens, and Universal from Brooklyn took the time to grow and to expand mind in dimensions outside of the confines. being an official graff dude, none of that shit Jay was doin was on my radar. i hated all of it. especially Reasonable Doubt, which to me was an attempt to make a Nas/Biggie record. i reasoned it off the same way most people do, that it’s not good for the community and that it is misleading the youth. until i read something one day:

“The champion of the bourgeoisie is the person who can take a simple matter and make it complicated. But the champion of the people, is the person that takes the complicated and makes it simple.”

and that changed my mind about a lot of shit. it is logical to conclude that as many people who will accept the truth are as many as who will reject it. so the course of action that appeals to both sides of the topic is best. in other words, how do you make a person who dont give a shit about the matrix see the need to get out of it? you appeal to a common denominator. and we all want to do better. some of us HAVE to. cuz when u grow up hungry, you do what you gotta to make sure you NEVER go hungry again. and that’s true for every color and creed on earth until someone turns the lights out on this small planet.

thats how i started to take what Jay and others were sayin. like they wasnt sayin, “a healthy portfolio starts with assests and liquidity balanced with calculated risk management in the pursuit of high yield investments”. NAW. they just said, “GET MONEY, NIGGA” ! and since then, our numbers have constantly climbed in the areas of new wealth and positions of power. i mean we, us, HOOD niggas. Jay is constantly covered in Forbes. i read it everyday. so, if you can’t appreciate the message, you got to appreciate the example.

and i aint tryin to hear that the music makes muhfuckas go sell drugs. all the legends in the game was before ALL this shit. when the game was THE GAME was when muhfuckas was talkin that red, black and green (with a KEY, sisseeeee! sorry, had to do it…) from Ricky Ross (the real one), Boy George, Calvin Klein, Aaron Jones, Bucky, Lil Sexo… all that was way before ALL this shit. if we take a bitch that was born ’round those times, we could all fuck her, no R.Kelly cases. see, niggas is livin out fantasies. cuz IT AINT TODAY’S REALITY. all across this this country, CRIME IS DOWN. you still hear about shit poppin. but you always will. positive and negative will always exist. for every preacher, there’s a pimp. and sometimes, there ain’t much difference between the two.

i felt The Blueprint was one of the few modern classics we had. but the irony is that the feel of it is based in the era i just finished speakin about. it’s like he was tellin the story of what was really happenin when most people was screamin “fight the power!”. it felt like a memoir, as most of the songs were written in the past tense. cause most of this drug shit IS past tense. like that concept. he need to go ahead and leave it alone… unless he’s tryin to demonstrate somethin else. blueprints have to do with building. there’s a designer and a stone cutter. 3 degrees to reach master in all disciplines (associate, bachelor, master),.. i think some of yall know what i’m sayin…

now air it out… quietly…

INDEPENDENT THINKING

This post was inspired by Dallas Penn's entry, "Independents Day" on XXLmag.com. not for nuffin', but i think that dude just might be a real thorobred. not the ones who know how to act when u lookin. i mean that natural shit. that shit u don't have to turn on... but it was the homie Tony Grand$ who made me feel like i should post 'em up here. like the end of "Casablanca"(u ain't hip?!?), i think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship...

first, i wanna say thanks for mentioning my nigga B-Bill in ur blog. that was my man. i wrote about my experiences with him on my blog. follow the link. i quoted ur story in it.

INDEPENDENT. the one thing people say they want, but they actions show otherwise. like a chick’ll say she independent and the next thing she’ll say is she NEED a man in her life. and ur man’ll be like “fuck these bitches!”, and soon as he get a steady piece of pussy, he LOCKED down, usually by his own admission. well, same thing with these dudes in the music industry.

Cuz i don’t know how many times i done heard dudes talk about how they a boss, that they entrepreneurs, that they got they own shit, to just turn around and become an EMPLOYEE of a record company. the minute they SAY they on their own, when the opportunity presents itself, they LOCK in, usually for 7 albums or 10 years, with some next mahfucka. i think it’s hard to be a boss and answer to somebody at the same time. that’s more like upper management. you’re SOMEBODY’S boss. just not your own.

on my blog, i wrote about how Drake would be a fool if he took a label deal. if he is indeed unsigned(?), his career at this point becomes the symbol for success at the get done by yourself level. at least it’s the most visible. cause niggas act like dudes form the south ain’t important. like Luke sellin a million records REALLY on his own wasn’t shit. or 3-6 Mafia. or James Prince. or the dudes you never heard of that are puttin 15 grand of REAL money into a 76 Chevy, as we speak, while you lookin good on credit and leases. and strugglin to keep up payments.

i became aware of Afro Punk watchin my homegirl Santigold develop into the amazing artist she is today. it was one of her first bands. but anything that moves away from the dinosaur that is the music biz is good with me. see, if all the majors were all located in America, they’d be subject to all types of anti-trust violations. they comprise what’s called a CARTEL, cause the 5 majors set the price, the structure and the tone for the entire industry. whether u like it or not. thats why they can give out deals that amount to usury, wrap u up in debt ’til Jesus come back, and give out these 360 deals that really just say… you’re my bitch.

these dudes can have this high school shit. cuz really, they in a rush to be POPULAR. but my old timer told me a long time ago, that fame without fortune, is a backwards hustle.

now air it out…

NOT THE BEST I EVER SAW

this post was inspired by Bol's blog entry, "Best Cans I Ever Saw" at XXLmag.com. it was in response to in part, of course, the women who had a negative reaction to this vid. and my opinion of it, of course...

you know, the funny thing is, u niggas KEEP listenin to these bitches like they ever said anything interesting past “i’m horny”.

the video is weak. the women are fly. (specially mami, 2nd up the steps after the mascot dunks. VICIOUS.) but i’m not gonna give it a pass cuz of the ass. for the baw to solidify his position, he really needs to make good decisions. at this point, he’s become the symbol that artistry is enuff to rise in the ranks. i guess he can just make good songs. cuz the video is trash. trash with sugar on it.

but what kills me is the women who time and time again say the same run down political spiel bout women being worth more than looks. then u see them with a tight shirt with the top 4 buttons undone, skirt 4″ above the knee on the news talkin bout “look me in the eye!”. or they tend to b butt ugly, and use intelligence as a factor to give their ugly asses value. which is really just them reactin to the pretty bitch in the room. just like in high school. the pain never really fades away.

heres the other end of it… who paid for the video? Lil Wayne? but Drake’s UNSIGNED right? Kanye directed for free? custom made costumes? and i know them gorgeous bitches ain’t do shit for free. so who paid for it? unless Drake got an ill trust fund (he is half Jewish), or a generous benefactor, i think 50 just might be right.

so BOOOOO to the video (’cept previously cited bad bitch). all it did was make me go to Tube8, where i can REALLY enjoy seein’ some tits and ass…

A PO-LO LIFE

Sunday Jun 21 5:44 AM CDT posted by Dallas Penn

There was a lot less coverage of the passing of Boostin’ Billy. As a matter of fact there was no internets coverage as far as I’m concerned. I got a message from one of the 2nd Gen Decepts that Boostin’ Billy, a co-founder of the Lo-Lifes had passed away. I haven’t had the chance to confirm or deny this story from the Lo-Lifes perspective but as soon as I do I will let y’all know the deal.

I did not know Boostin’ Billy personally but his name does ring bells. I’m sure he was one of the many young men that I encountered on the Deuce back in its Black youth heyday and the latter years of the Latin Quarters. To this day I still wear my Polo I.T.’s more out of respect for all the brothers that passed away to obtain and maintain this level of fresh. This is my lifestyle for life.

It was a wild thing to see my dad pass away a few years ago. He was such a lion I expected him to live forever. So it goes for all giants and lions and great influencers. Our time here is ridiculous and short. Respect to all of those that have left their indelible mark on our minds and in our hearts. These people are the fathers to our style.

That's what was written about my man B-Bill, in Dallas Penn's blog on XXLmag.com. well, i can sadly confirm that he has indeed returned to the essence. its still strange for me to really be like he's really gone. it's like it just wasn't supposed to go down like this. and in the midst of my own sadness, i still can only remember the good times.

1991, we dressed the whole 12th n Huntingdon. real talk. and that's not just one block. thats the whole surrounding area, a 5 block radius. niggas know. back then i had the red Cherokee Laredo and that shit used to stay full of merchandise in the rear. those days it was me, Sgt. Squash, Don Lo, Dave Lo, and B-Bill. and we stayed fly as SHIT.

Bill used to do incredible shit. take the whole rack of jerseys. i've seen him take 53 pair of Guess jeans. stuffing the studded Pele leather up his back while spittin game at the store clerk. stuffin a TV up the back. i am not bullshittin. Nautica down coats, the three quarters when they was hot, DKNY shields, when she first dropped for men. oh man, that shit was crazy. bitches was open off the flyness. and Bill would be evryday with a label. you'd look at him and be like, he on his bum jawn today, and get close to him and realize that aything on him was a label of some sort. he was flyer on his bum days than u was on Easter. balee dat.

we did a skid bid in Jersey. me him n Dave Lo. Dave bailed out quick, cause anybody that know him know that his girl was always a soldier for him. 2 days, he went home. me and Bill stayed till the hearing. shit, i was givin them $500 knowin i wasnt comin back for no fuckin court date. just a week and some change, nothin special. we was in Burlington County, so we was like stars to them niggas. i had on some black canvas Lo boots with the orange jumpsuit, stylin. i believe Bill was rockin the Bear gortex. them niggas aint never seen none of that shit outside of the Source. we held down a shower just for me n him, and when he went in, i held him down, and when i went in, he held me down. then them other niggas started tryin to ride the same way. we spent the whole time clownin them niggas. now there was a couple of real niggas there too, and of course, they rode with us. gave us lotion and cigarettes until commisarry. and when store day came, we copped shit and left it to niggas when we stepped out. thorobred shit. my nigga B-Bill to the core.

Bill used to STAY at a fly bitch. he was a fly nigga. but no matter how many labels you rock, if u cant spit game at a broad, u will lose her. shit, i know he fly, because we used to have a couple broads in common. and it was funny cuz we'd talk about bitches generically, like " i met this bitch from up Temple" or "my Temple jawn" and come to find out when a name is mentioned, we both done hit it, and twice we was talkin to the same broad at the same time. once we both hit. not a threesome, just me n him knew behind the curtain. and he never got jel or aggy. thorobred shit. how many of you niggas on some shit like that?

but what needs to be realized is he means more to the world than what my man wrote about him in the XXL. see, he was directly responsible for being the influence of the look of the golden era of hip hop. it's Lo Life niggas that brought that whole Polo dress code ( and other like minded shit like Nautica, Helly Hansen etc.) that became the look for Rakim, G-Rap, and especially Kane. the only other major influence on the style of that era was Dapper Dan. and it was that school that really caused the expansion of hip hop into a wider, broader scale, behind Run DMC. see, it's the way things are packaged that makes them appeal to buyers. so little white kids that was rockin this shit because it was their regular steez, you don't think they felt some sort of connection seein all these tuff black guys from NY wearin what they do everyday? you don't think Run DMC rappin over rock music wasn't the connection they had to white people? same shit. and it's the white people that drive sales. still do. and it's still a guy from Brooklyn (RocaWear) that drives the current trend. and the whole line is based off of whata Brooklyn kid from that era, Jay Z, was influenced by. he said so in his music, shoutin out Lo Lifes by name. this is my man B-Bill having direct influence over one of the greatest hip hop figures in history. and the way YOU dress today.

i heard a lot of stories today about how he actually passed. i will not repeat none of it. lets' just say, no one really knows. but that's the way it's always been for the legends of our times, right? Bruce Lee, Huey Newton, Pac, Big, their deaths are surrounded in mystery. and always with the feeling like they are gone too soon. as it is with my nigga Bill, born Michael Culley in Brooklyn New York on September 4, 1970. Laid to rest June 23, 2009.

a legend...

my friend.

TAKE THE THRONE OR GO HOME by Auren B. MaNash

Bitch are you crazy!!!! Keri Hilson, Ms. Keri Baby whatever you are calling yourself these days your going to have to change your name and move to some remote location stepping to the Queen Beyonce Knowles. Don’t you know what happened to the last girl who did that? No umbrella could save her from the rain that fell pon her. Folks if you haven’t heard, listen up. Keri disses Beyonce and Ciara in her remix with T-Pain and Lil Wayne called “Turning me on”. She says in her lyrics and I quote “I shot the sheriff but wait till I shoot these bitches down, now I ain’t tryna start no mess but there’s just something on my chest that I need to get off cuz your turnin me off, ya vision cloudy if you think that you the best you can dance you can sing but need to move it to the” left (word not in lyrics but we know what fit’s the rhyme) “she need to go and have some babies she need to sit down she fading them otha chicks ain’t even worth my time talkin bout…. Go head and tell these folks how long I been writing ya songs I been puttin you on just check the credits hoe….”

Keri is receiving so much backlash from Beyonce fans posting dis responses on you tube to DJ’s putting her on the spot in interviews with Ciara. In the interview with Ciara she actually apologized. Damn boo, you punked out! Now Keri is back peddling and trying to say that the lyrics were about haters in general. BOOO!! In my personal opinion Keri is a talented artist. And although she just released her first album this March she has been in the game for a good 12 years writing songs for such artist as Brittney Spears, Pussycat dolls, Ciarra and Mary J. Blige. Ciara doesn’t write ANY of her own songs and Keri’s album is doing better on the charts. Maybe she doesn’t have a big enough EGO like say Beyonce. Who to me is “fading” hence the redundant black and white videos. She does want children too. Perhaps it is time to do just that. It beats making whack movies. Now I don’t necessarily think she needs to “sit down”, I am a huge Beyonce fan. I’d love to see her do pregnant videos like Britney or Jaguar. Say, what ever happened to her?

Anywho, but yes I do agree with Keri somewhat. She should take her aim at the crown. She’s paid her dues. Beyonce needs to be inspired. What inspires more than a worthy opponent. I had the chance to correspond with Keri and I asked her how she felt about Omarion taking credit for writing the song she wrote ‘Ice Box” she responded “ I don’t care, as long as I get my money”. Well folks it looks like Ms. Keri is not satisfied with just money anymore. She wants the crown. But she ain’t gonna get it pussy footing when faced with confrontation, especially when she started the fight.

She got to take the throne or go home.

SMALL WORLD

this is Philly baby! a culture of violence. even these broads is tuff. not just the ugly ones either. now i been livin with these police for years. when i used to do the thing, officers like Perez, Tom n Jerry and others used to take money off of me and my niggas all the time. 3rd and Diamond, Fairhill and Somerset, ask about us.

what caught me out there was the fact that the dealer in the story, was my man from high school. Ricardo McKendrick, Jr. i used to holler at his sister. and his cousin. they were both as fine as any of these video models. and SHAAARP. always dipped in the freshest and the flyest. i was young and thought that type of shit made u a player. it don't. that makes u stupid. i lost em both. see, the player shit woulda been to fall in. and since them times, i haven't and i don't put no sex/relationship business aheada that bread. but i still think of his cousin, who i met first, and always think about what coulda been. the babies we coulda made (she was absolutely gorgeous. AND smart. AND FLY AS SHIT. Gucci sneaks and Emanuelle Khan's in JR high.) i was a dummy. and on some grown man shit, wherever you are, i'm sorry.

Rick was a cool dude. always on some fly shit. 3 pairs of new sneaks a week. custom made glasses. diamond rings. and even tho he obviously had more than you, he always made you feel like you was fly too. well, i was. i'm pretty. i'm talkin bout those other cats! (scene from The Mack.) he was what you don't see too much of nowadays. he was a THOROBRED. so it makes me feel kinda fucked up that they sayin he's a cooperatin witness now. for me, that shit is hard to swallow...shit, ALL SHIT is hard to swallow, if u gotta eat it...

now as u end this report, right at the end, with the white guy out in the middle of what the fuck, u see him walk in front of a sign with a grafitti tag. now that tag holds a lot of prestige. he was the king of the city before me and one of the all time bombing kings in graff history, KAD or KADISM as he is famously known. most graff writers write where most people will see their name. how likely is it that where the white guy is is a high traffic area? not at all. so to see his name way out there is like, what the fuck!?! the irony is that now its being seen by thousands of people everywhere! now i became king after KAD, and the twist is, i got the name DEN in that same high school with Rick. and he used to write. he had a pretty decent hand. see, this is Philly. that type of shit is important. and the other baw who used to rock wit us, Gene, DORT 224, used to run Nicetown with his brother Napoleon, or NERD as some called him. they used to get MONEY. Nerd had the biggest chain i ever saw in person. now, this gonna fuck u up. you know what high school that was? Bartram? West? Gratz? Southern? nope. Engineering and Science. u gotta love how it all unfolds. or at least appreciate the irony.

small world...

DRAKE; THE MISTAKE

let me say this... first and foremost, i am NOT a fan of Drake. i think he has talent, but he will not have the lasting impact that Lil Wayne will have on the scope of music for this year and last. he will be one of those people thats counted amongst those that "did it", that group of folks who we all remember for being there during "those times". they are not the ones who define it. like CNN was talented. but they were around during Illmatic, Cuban Links and The Infamous. see what i'm sayin?

but thats not what this is about. i have seen a number of sites and comments that spend too much time trying to tear him down. i mean, i dont think he deserves rewards as a true avant garde-ian. but he dont deserve the type of fuck up you dudes assign to him daily. just based on the merits of the buzz. team or not, u gotta love the type of impact this is having on the industry. that is if u hate free and not on the stay free, know whamtawkin bout?

i have a label, and a small studio (but i gets the fuck busy), so i've been tellin motha fuckas for the longest that we can get this money ourselves. while i dont think strictly the material got him the buzz(he was a TV star for a minute), he GOT IT. all independently. the sonic ripples sent thru the industry will be clearly heard by those tuned into that frequency. the rest of you fuck faces will be amongst the rest of these fuck faces that are so happy he's about to get a deal. DUMMY. if he has COAST TO COAST market presence, a nationwide tour (and about to go back out with Jay Z), an appearance on Conan (the Leno slot), and sitings with one of the absolutely most beautiful women in the world (Rhi-Rhi) WITHOUT A DEAL..... WHAT THE FUCK DOES HE NEED ONE FOR?

see, if a pimp already got 10 bitches and u offer him 10, ur not really addin to his game... just appealin to his GREED. 10 bitches stompin hard these days is a realistic 4-5 thousand a day. that 25-28 stacks a WEEK. $100,000 a MONTH. he's ok without ur help. same thing with Drake. the baw can make history if he just has the balls to say, "naw, i got it". cause he does! he HAS! his presence on the web is almost ubiquitous. from yahoo to TMZ, to People, this is all done WITHOUT label support.
all that needs to be done now is to hire an ad agency to handle a national promotional campaign, and a team to coordinate the distribution of the physical cd globally(of which the manufacture can be handled by various very capable independents) and he can WIN. even if he throws up a brick material wise, he'll still cake off. its conceivable that he'll do considerably north of gold his first week out. now take into account the 60/40 (YOUR favor) split that distributors offer, even 50/50, will make sure he sees more money off his first week than Jay Z made off his last record. he does plat that first week, he shoots past Eminem. a million records sold is equal to 10 million in revenue, gross. most rappers will be lucky to see $8, 900,000. the bigger stars make a million dollars... OUT OF THE $10 MILLION THAT THEY JUST MADE FOR THE LABEL. and then the artist gotta pay back expenses outta THEIR share. Drake wouldn't have to pay anyone shit. he could have distributors eating costs all day in anticipation of the product they know they're gonna move. then there's the internet.... man, i'm spittin tooo much game. let's just see where he at wit his.

he can really set the mark for a new day for artists in this business. and for BUSINESSMEN in this business. if he just not fraid to handle business. cause if go for the monkey business, imma mind my business. cuz he gon' get fucked. and i dont deal wit the batty boy business...

THE GUSHIE

oh man oh man, how time flies! sorry its been a while (i'll tell u all about it in another entry), because this one is all about the GUSHIE! superstar gushie! 2 bad bitches and one dickhead....

lets start with bad bitch number one... Cassie.

now i aint no celebrity gossip. i dont get down with that worldstar hip hop beef shit. all that he said, he said faggotness. but i mean a bad bitch is a bad bitch. and look at her her homie! even when she hit the right side with the razor, she still makes every chick u fucked look like shoes from the goodwill. u know, it'll work, but u dont wanna go to the Beres Hammond show rockin 'em.

and one of my old jawns used to do shit like this. take pictures of herself naked just to look at herself. japanese and black. and black all in the ass parts. well when i had my way, she was Guyanese all in the ass parts...

now speakin of Caribbean shit, the next one should of been first cause i love me some brown skin. brown like Thanksgiving turkey fresh out the oven. you just want a piece. with some gravy. (some of you didnt follow me on that one). i mean, how else would you describe this? how else do you describe the tasty and sexy Rihanna?

look at this. thats her ass nigga...

now i dont have an adult warning on the page, but shit, they gonna have to let me slide on this one. look how well done and tender this piece of meat is...

and just so you know its no bullshit, here go the face you'd love to see disappear below your waist. chicks too...
